Abstract Intranet or corporate information portals can have tremendous impacts on modern organizations. Today’s Intranet are not just sources for publishing and posting internal documents and corporate policies, but instead are sources for knowledge management, work group collaboration, and on-line access to a multitude of other applications that support end-user tasks. Despite these impacts, there is a scarcity of research exploring Intranet adoption and implementation. In this paper, the researchers propose a framework that identifies several contextual antecedents of Intranet adoption and implementation. This paper explains the benefits that Intranet can bring to tertiary institutions and a review of some key issues that are needed to be considered when planning to deploy the technology.

Abstract The high demand for face recognition applications has attracted the interest of researchers in this area. As a result of this, several methodologies have been proposed by scholars in this field. Face recognition methodology aims to detect faces in still image and sequence images. Local, global, and hybrid are approaches used in this area. The major issue of face recognition includes intensity, illumination, difficult to control as well as pose. Face images are highly dynamic and they pose difficult issues and challenges to solve when in use, researchers in pattern recognition, computer vision, and artificial intelligence have proposed many models in other to reduce such difficulties to improve the efficiency, robustness, and accuracy. The objective of this paper is to provide a survey of the current state of research on face recognition methodologies that has been proposed by different researchers. The underlining principles and application areas of face recognition are also presented. Finally, a conclusion on the current state of the art in face recognition was given.

Abstract A contact centre may face difficulties when there are language barriers between a customer and an agent. To improve customer experience, this study demonstrates how to instantly translate chat conversations between users in real-time, in their preferred language, across multiple channels. The paper used some essential Amazon Web Services (AWS) to implement this solution. At the core of the demo is our machine learning models, which help to auto-connect, evaluate and translate the customer experience. Researchers used Amazon Connect to modernize the information technology (IT) service desk with omnichannel contact centre capabilities. Customers could utilize Amazon Connect's flexible chat APIs to enable multilingual conversations. Developers can use Amazon serverless and API-based artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) services to incorporate machine learning capabilities into their apps.
